Allow me to tell you a true story. Several years ago there was a young single mother struggling to raise one child while living on welfare. Life seemed like an endless cycle of substandard living until this young mother was given the opportunity to receive much needed career training in the medical field. Later this young woman became an assistant instructor for Lighthouse Resource Center, Inc.
Lighthouse Resource Center, Inc. offers career training programs and job placement opportunities for those in dire need of employment skills so they may rise out of the doldrums of unemployment and public assistance. LHRC, Inc. has lifted over 700 people out of the welfare cycle through our career training and job placement programs. Lighthouse Resource Center, Inc. operates medical training programs for Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC), Catholic Charities (CC), and LaGuardia Community College (LGCC).
LHRC, Inc. would like to keep our employees like the aforementioned young lady working. The operating expenses for running medical training programs and establishing a fully licensed training center is considerable. Regrettably, there are many more people in need of quality career training and job placement than services currently provided, and this is the purpose of this letter. Would you consider making an investment in our work to keep the programs going and to increase our services to more people in need? No contribution is too small for Lighthouse Resource Center, Inc. Whatever your ability is to give, we would ask you to consider making a donation to Lighthouse Resource Center, Inc.
The New Year is a special time for LHRC, Inc. with our soon opening training center. Your tax deductible contribution will make a significant difference in our ability to impact on the lives of many people, not only during the New Year, but all year round.
